Ruth Henshall Obituary

Ruth Wallace Henshall
1956-2021
Ruth Wallace Henshall, age 65, accomplished her earthly journey in Houston, Texas on June 6, 2021, after several years of battling breast cancer. She joins her beloved husband Frank in watching over their large extended family across the United States, Canada and Great Britain.
Ruth grew up in University Park in Dallas and attended Highland Park High School where she was active in choir and musical productions and made many life-long friends. Always an exceptional student she attended Vanderbilt University and then transferred to the University of Texas. She was active in Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and graduated with honors with a business degree.
Ruth made Houston her permanent home and became involved in community groups such as the Junior League where she enjoyed participating in the annual musical productions. Her rendition of "Leader of the Pack" was one of her favorites.
Ruth was president and owner of The Lentz Group, a boutique marketing and consulting firm in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. She contributed to many Houston area projects during her forty-year career.
Ruth also assisted almost 50 architects, from Texas to Las Vegas to Hong Kong, who were aiming to attain one of the American Institute of Architect's highest honors – Fellowship. In crafting each architect's unique story, she focused in on the essence of how their work significantly contributed to the profession of architecture and backed that up with persuasive write-ups and graphic layouts of projects, industry activities, awards, and publications.
Ruth loved her family, her dogs Zeus and Harvey, her cat Hera, mystery novels, crossword puzzles, travel, Body Combat and cooking. She got particular joy out of the videos from England of her great-grandchildren.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Frank Henshall, her parents Rebecca B. Wallace and Carl P. Wallace and her niece Gina S. Wallace.
She is survived by her brothers Preston (Peggy) Wallace in Canton, Michigan, David (Chris) Wallace in Dallas, TX., Patrick (Lindsey) Wallace in Dallas, TX, Frank's daughters Sheree Green (Tim), Yvette Henshall-Bell (Mick), Tina Henshall and grandchildren Ellie Henshall-Bell, Joe and Tom Green, Fabian Horvath, great-grandchildren Frankie and Florence Pedder, Frank's siblings Muriel Mountford, Jean Walley and John Henshall. The "Brits" all took Ruth under their wing and made her a part of their family which delighted her and enriched her life. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her greatly.
