Samir Hammam Obituary
He attended Victoria College in Egypt and London School of Engineering in London. He established and presided over HCH Supply Company for many years until his death. Samir divided his time between Cairo, Egypt, South of France and Houston, Tx.
The funeral, on March 10, 2014, was held at El Farouq Mosque and the burial was at Westheimer Forest Park Cemetery followed by a memorial at the Omni Hotel. Samir chose to be buried in Houston because he considered this his home away from home.
He was one of a kind and will be missed and remembered for his many kind deeds all over the world and for the fun times with his many, many friends.
He is survived by his daughter Nermine Hammam, her husband Karim Greiss; daughter Nadine Hammam; son Sam S. Hammam, Jr.; grandchildren Leyla and Rafik Greiss; brother Adel Hammam and nephews.

I sadly learned of your death yesterday April 15th. We were talking on the phone just a few weeks ago. What started as a business arrangement in 1975 became a great friendship over the years. What fun we had in Cairo, Beirut, London, Brussels, Houston and San Diego. I'll never forget you jumping on a horse on an impulse and riding off into the desert when we were visiting the Great Pyramids. Anne and I will miss you but the memories will live on.
