My thoughts are with you today. You are missed. I will always remember your visits and treasure my time with you. We had some good memories from the 1961 team players. Our circle gets smaller and smaller. We will have a good team when we all get to Heaven.Rest in peace Sammy, until we meet again.

Sammy, it is so hard to believe you are with Our Heavenly Father. It was just a short while ago we were laughing and talking about motorcycles. You will be missed by all your friends of the 1961 Bearkat championship football team. But, your homecoming will be a greater homecoming than the one the Bearkats will have on October 10, 2009. May God be with your love ones in their time of sorrow.
