After a long battle with cancer and surrounded by family and friends who loved her, Sandra R. Peebles passed away peacefully at home in early January. She was 87 years old.
Sandra is survived by her son, Paul Peebles and his wife Anne, as well as their children PJ and Sammy of Spring, TX. She was preceded in death by her loving mother Allyne Cherry, her devoted brother Larry Reynolds, and her beloved son Wiley Hugh.
Sandra began her professional career as an engineer at Boeing then taught math in the Klein School District where she was an active leader in the PTO before deciding to pursue a law degree. Sandra earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston in 1977. She was a practicing family-law attorney for 46 years and spent several years as a Special Master for District Court 312 in Harris County. Sandra gave her all to everything she did and was fiercely dedicated to her clients, students, friends, and family.
Sandra was a die-hard Texan who especially loved Bluebonnets, Texas history, travel, and bird watching. She was an avid reader who loved meeting authors and collecting signed, first-edition books. Sandra loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons. She also loved cats and would regularly care for neighborhood strays.
Sandra had many cousins, nephews. and friends who all will miss her, especially her enjoyment of life, her wisdom, her sense of humor, and her laughter.
