Sharon A. Corry, age 70, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, died peacefully on the 10th of January 2017, in her home in Houston, Texas.
Sharon was born the 28th of October 1946, in Cleburne, Texas. She worked 28 years for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission as a Counselor in Dallas, Texas. She served as the President of Houston Baptist University's Guild, President of the Tanglewood Garden Club, and President of the American Museum Society in Houston. She loved her husband, son, and grandkids and delighted in being a constant event guide and meal planner for everybody in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Geneva Bridges Barnett, brother Clarence Barnett, and sister Elsie Kathryn Barnett.
Sharon will be forever remembered by her loving husband, Todd Corry of Houston; son Trey Corry and daughter-in-law Marci Corry and grandchildren Caroline and Colter Corry of College Station, Texas.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from two o'clock until four o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday the 15th of January 2017, in the parlor and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Monday the 16th of January 2017, in the Hankamer Chapel of Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Drive in Houston, where Pastor Dave Riggle is to officiate.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in a venue to be announced during the service.
A private family crypt side service and entombment will be held at Hillcrest Mausoleum and Memorial Park, 7405 West Northwest Highway in Dallas, Texas.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that memorial gifts be directed to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
