Steven Robert Buck age 82 of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. He was surrounded by family, friends, and medical staff. Steve, as he was mostly known as, was born on August 24, 1942. He was born to Stanley and Isabelle Buck in Orono, Maine. He was the eldest of two children.
He is survived by his husband Joe, brother Benjamin, cousins Jon and Joel. He also left to mourn a nephew and a niece.
Steve was a graduate of the University of Maine, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. He also served in the served in the United States Army. Upon coming to Houston, he became the manager of the Greenway 3 Theatre, a Houston mecca for speciality movie films. The annual World Fest/ Houston International Film Festival was presented at the Greenway 3 for several years.
He was also manager and instrumental in opening the first Spec's Liquor Store in the Montrose Community, Houston. Steve also served as a Board of Directors Member for Cattails Condominium Complex a Randall Management Property. He served for a period of three years.
Funeral services honoring Steve will be in the care of Neptune Society Cremation Services of Houston, Texas and San Francisco, CA.
