Steve was a caring individual.
Dr. (rer. nat.) Robert L. Jones Jr
July 25, 2025
I went through high school with Steve at Jesse Jones, we graduated class of 1972. I remember him very fondly: always reaching out and being a friend. Although we hung out infrequently and ran in different groups, through the years he was one of the people who I remember from then. He was someone who appears in my memories, who I carry in the back of my mind, about that time. He was a remarkable person, not because he was out going, or overly expressive, but because of his openness and sincerity. I saw him at the 50th year reunion and got his number to call, but time passes so fast and.... this is another lesson I learned only too late.
It was a very nice memorial service: he lived honorably with many contributions to society. My sincere condolences to his beautiful family.
