Susan Huang Obituary

SUSAN ANN HUANG, 61, beloved wife of Rev. Nathan Huang; loving mother to Andrew Huang and his wife Debbie, Meiling Patrick and her husband Larry; adoring Grandmother "Nee" of Chris, Lauren and Riley Patrick and Haley and Megan Huang, passed away with her family by her side on January 21, 2005. Suzy grew up in Cedar Rapids, IA and met her soul mate, Nathan, in Iowa City, IA. They were married on June 14, 1964. Their journey together over the past 40 years led them to California, Hawaii, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and finally Texas. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2005, at Messiah Lutheran Church located at 11522 Telge Road in Cypress, Texas, with Rev. Harvey Bongers officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Lutheran Helping Hands, P.O. Box 20501, Houston, TX 77225. Her family will miss her dearly and are grateful to the kidney donor who gave her the gift of life and us the gift of time to spend with our wonderful "Nee". We love you.

To Reverend Huang and family:

My condolences to you and your family.

I knew Susie for a few months in 1990. She worked with me at the old Heights State Bank (later called NBC Bank) on Washington in the Heights. She was a wonderful person and a joy to work with. I remember recommending her for job in the lease department at NCNB Bank, later Bank of America.

My wife Alice still has an excellent sweet potato recipe she gave me.
