I want to tell you about my friend Terra and what she means to me. I met Terra about 10 years ago when Bob, Beth & I relocated to the Houston area from Pennsylvania, not long after my dad's passing. I was feeling rather lonely and missing our friends and family back home, but Terra made me feel at home here in Texas. She treated us like part of her family.
Terra was:
My interior decorator and fashion consultant.
My confidante
A suurogate mother to Beth
My shoulder to lean on
My shopping buddy
My everything friend, and I will love her forever.
She loved:
Glitz
Anything with animal print
Painting
Decorating
Jewelry
Laughing
Entertaining
Dancing
Dress up & theme parties
Gardening
Antique shopping
But most of all, she loved her family & friends, especially her boys, Josh and Jason.
In times of stress or crisis, Terra always said, "Baby steps...just take baby steps."
I miss Terra terribly, and my heart aches for her parents, Jan & Don and for Jason, Josh & Lindsay. I know that her spirit will live in my heart for all of my days on this earth.
I can not say good bye so I'll just say, "Wiedersehen ('till we met again."
Now I'm going to take my first baby steps and I ask all who loved her to take those baby steps with me.

Terra and I worked together at American General Corporation for several years. She was a very special person with a personality that overflowed with joy and delight. Her boys were her joy and those of us that had the opportunity to spend time with her were blessed in many ways.
I think and will think of her often and know that Josh and Jason will carry her memory forward to the next generation.
May her parents take comfort in the knowledge that she was loved, respected by many people and that she leaves a legacy a mile long.

I just can't express the pain my family and I feel in our hearts. I’m so angry to know that she was taken away from us so soon but it seems God needed another angel in heaven.
Your mom was just one of a kind. She gave me and my family the happiest days of our life. She was smart, beautiful, caring, loving and truly a genuine soul. I’m going to miss her so much. In my brief association with Terra at American General, I learned she always had a smile, she was very creative with a passion for crafting, and she was truly devoted to her sons. In fact, when she left AG, she was excited about the opportunity to spend more time with her boys. It’s hard to imagine the world without her bright smile, and I know her family and friends will dearly miss her. I pray your faith and God’s grace will give you peace during this difficult time.

What can be said in this time of loss. She was a beautiful person and loved by so many. It is unimaginable this terrible tradgedy could have happened at all, much less now. It was too soon for her to leave us and it is difficult to believe that beautiful soul is out of our physical reach. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
We know in heaven she has already embraced our wonderful Jakob who barely preceded her there a week before. Now when the sun shines really bright on a particular windy day and the leaves on trees rustle and birds sing and somewhere we hear wind chimes tinkling and church bells ringing we will know it is Terra and Jakob sending us smiles to "brighten" our day by the sun and we will feel their kisses filled with love against our cheeks carried to us by the wind so we may rest a little more easy knowing our beloved Jakob has his beautiful aunt Terra there with him.

We can't even begin to tell you how much Terra meant to us. To me, she was a special friend who was always there in good times and when I needed a shoulder to lean on. I've known Terra for 20 years, she was not only beautiful but creative, talented, fun-loving and able to roll with the flow. We did family gatherings, kid's birthdays, renaissance festivals (where Terra had made her whole family's costumes), & car shows. I was blessed to have her as my friend and now my heart breaks because she's gone. God has taken an angel to be with him and I will miss her dearly.

Terra was like my second mom, and one of my best friends. She is the most amazing and beautiful person I have ever met. She was always there for me with a hug and smile. Dear Terra's Family,
I saw and spoke to Terra nearly each day since working at Amegy. When I picture her, I see her pretty smile she always had and can still hear her laugh. She was always friendly, caring, and had a great attitude. She always had something funny to talk about and lighten up your day. The last converstation I had with her was about her two boys. She told me how great they were and how proud of each one she was. My prayers are with all the members of her family. Terra was a beautiful person in every way one could be.

Don, Jan, Josh, Jason and Lindsey - Danny and I are deeply saddened to hear of Terra's death. I know how much you will miss her as her highest priority was her family. I knew Terra from high school -- we were in the drill team together. By chance, I married into the family. I have many memories of Terra, which all include her smiling eyes. I will remember Terra as a dedicated mother and daughter, multi-talented, extremely caring, gracious, generous, beautiful person. My mother-in-law (Aunt Earline) affectionately called her “Lil’ Darlin’”. I am quite positive that she was one of Terra’s welcoming committee in Heaven. God bless you all!
