Thomas Lombardo Obituary

Thomas A Lombardo:
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the age of 95, after a ten-year battle with cancer. He defied many odds with his illness and was able to live several years past his expectancy. He was born September 10, 1927, in Beaumont, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first grandson Samuel Thomas Fertitta and his wife of 37 years, Jean, and three brothers, Anthony Harry, Frank William and Dr. Carlos Roy.
He is survived by his sister, Anna Mae Fertitta and brother-in-law, R. T. Fertitta. His children and their families: Karen and Kevin Henry, their children: Nicole Fertitta, Luke and Mary Fertitta, and their son Jude, (Tom Lombardo's first and only great grandchild), Jonas and Caroline Fertitta and Marshall Henry. His daughter Lauren Jean Lombardo; son Randy, his wife Sally and their five children: Noah, Nathaniel, Sam and his wife Amanda, Jesse, and Olivia along with his many nieces and nephews, all of whom he deeply loved.
The family wishes to thank the physicians who took care of him including but not limited to: Drs. Girish Kansara, Scott McKenney, John Henderson, Keith Weidd, and Dr. Courtney DiNardo, Dr. Christopher Logothetis. We also want to extend our gratitude Loretta Eaglin and his care givers Rosa, Erica, Alicia, and Zena.

Sending condolences and prayers to Dr T.A. Lombardos family. So sorry for your loss. I was blessed to be able to work in his office for 8 years. One of the sweetest , smartest men I was blessed to meet and work for. Totally loved by so many, and will be greatly missed. So many great memories.

Dr. Lombardo was my doctor from 1959 until 1960. He sent me at the age of 10 to the National Institute of Health fir open heart surgery. I have seen him several times since then and we were always glad to talk about a 10 year old girl facing surgery in a strange place and with strangers to care for herm. He was a remarkable man. A true gentleman and will forever be my hero who saved my life.
You will never be forgotten.

I would to send my condolence to the Lombardo & Fertitta Family! Dr. Lomardo was my mother's heart doctor and we really appreciate all that he did for her. He was always so nice and such a beautiful smile. I am keeping the family in my prayers.
