Mrs. Virgie was a wonderful dance teacher. She inspired so many of us to make dance a part of our lives. She was very creative and we were always excited to see what theme she would come up with for the next recital.

I was so sad when I heard about Virgie. My kids started taking dance from her when they were 3 years old. We were longtime friends. Lucile Goldberg (Houston, Tx.)

I, too, was a student of Miss Virgie. I remember Virgie Lee as a very creative, talented person. Year after year she not only choreographed all the dances for our recitals, she also designed all the costumes. I loved looking at her sketches and was amazed at her imagination. Virgie Lee was a great dance teacher and wonderful person .. so kind and encouraging to everyone .. we all loved her dearly. Thank you, Miss Virgie, your memory lives in me.
With the greatest respect and heartfelt sympathy,

Miss Virgie taught me dance and had the most wonderful recitles. I was always amazed at how she could do the splits and backbends. She was such a wonderful personality. She will be greatly missed.

Miss Virgie was my only dance teacher from elementary through high school ~ so many wonderful memories and the reason I still love to dance today, although it's been a couple of years since I tapped with Miss Carol (Ehler)! What a great lady, and loving, close-knit family. . . she will certainly be missed.

Virgie Lee was my dance teacher when she worked for Hallie Pritchard in Houston back in the 40's. That really goes a long way back. I can remember her with her acrobatics and how she would do a back bend and go so far down that she could pick up a hankie with her teeth. She was a wonderful person and a great dance teacher. I send my deepest sympathy to her family.
