Virginia Stockton Obituary

On October 21st 2006 our loving mother VIRGINIA RAY STOCKTON went to be with the Lord. She was born January 13, 1948 in Houston, Texas. Virginia loved life and lived it to its fullest. Virginia loved to travel and spend time with her friends and family. Virginia's favorite place was her home in Moss Hill, TX where she loved to sit on the porch in the morning drinking coffee and having a cigarette. Virginia also loved to have her family and friends come up to Moss Hill where the barbecue was tasty and the beer was flowing. Virginia was a wonderful mother who always had the answer. If she wasn't taking her sons to football practice or bicycle races, she was helping her daughter with her activities. If homework got too tough at school it was no problemMom would just do it for us. We didn't have a lot of money but you would have never known; Mom always made sure we had the latest fashions no matter the cost. Virginia always talked about her dear friends Edna, Jane, Loretta and Kathy. These girls were like sisters and the party never stopped when they were together. While at Moss Hill they all loved to fish, cook, and drink. It was like a high school party for a bunch of seasoned veterans. Virginia had worked for CALPINE in Pasadena, TX. We know all of her friends at CALPINE will miss her dearly. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Alice Almond, husband Robert John Stockton and son Robert Hampton Stockton. She is survived by her long time partner Michael Moore, her son Gary Ray Stockton and wife, Sandra Stockton, son Jodey Ray Dees and wife Katrina Dees, daughter Tiffany Romano and husband Larry Denton; grandchildren, Autumn, Averi, Kade and Rayni Stockton, Jerry Hynes, and Hailey Denton; sisters, Mary and husband Gary Everitt, Theresa and husband, Howard Reynolds, and Juanita Spees. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m.-9:00p.m., Tuesday, October 24th at Paul U. Lee-La Porte Funeral Home. Virginia's services will be held the following day at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Paul U. Lee-La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. We love you Mom and please hug Dad and Robby for us, we miss you all. Paul U. Lee-La Porte Funeral Home 201 South 3rd Street La Porte, TX 77571 (281) 471-0123

Hi this is Vania. I can't believe I am reading this obituary. I am so saddened by this loss. Virginia was always a good mother to me and also friend. Please I am praying that someone in the family reads this. I also just found out about Robby too and am very shocked to hear that too. I would like to know where they are buried and other details. Jodey, Gary or Tiffany please contact me at your earliest convenience. Todd and I are very saddened by this and we would just like to pay our respects. Thankyou

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
