To Vivian's immediate family, Joyce & Mrs. Ziesemer:

I am so sorry for your loss. While never having met Vivian, I spoke with Vivain many times while working for Joyce, and Vivian would call. She had such a pleasant voice and was so friendly and energetic. While we sometimes don't understand why someone so full of life and love is taken from us so suddenly, just remember that she will always be with you in your thoughts and will always be looking over all of you as your personal guardian angel. All of your lives have been enriched by having such a wonderful person playing such an integral part in your being.

My sincere sympathy,

Ken King

I first met Vivian when working at the phone company credit union in Pasadena years ago. What a great person. She always knew how to encourage people. I've ran into her more recently at the college or in Wal-Mart and she still remembered to ask me about my children. What a blessing to know that she took the time to remember.

I'm so sorry about your lost. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids. I will always remember the great times we had together. I know it will be hard but, try to remember all the great memories you all had and also remember that she is in a much better place than the rest of us. Love to all.

David, Stephanie & Christopher, Stephen, Staci, Mrs. Ziesemer, Joyce, Aunt Rose, Pam & Barry, Christine & Marcus. We were so sorry to hear of your loss. It was quite a shock. Like Doris said in her message, we haven't visited together in so long, but the times we did were so good. Vivian always made everything so enjoyable and she always looked so happy and at ease with everything she did. Her cooking was great, the house always looked perfect and we always felt so comfortable there. I just wish we could have some of those good times back for awhile. If there is anything we can do, other than prayers, please let us know.

David, try to remember all of your good times, don't dwell on what could or should have been. When I was 9 years old my best friend died from a brain tumor. Her grandmother told me " God takes the pretty flowers to make the weak one grow." Also, your Mom sent all of us this message with a picture of your Dad after he passed away. I hope it will comfort you some.

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever,

Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly

Trod the valley of the shade?

Oh! but Jesus' love illumined

Every dark and fearful glade.

And He came Himself to meet me

In that way so hard to tread;

And with Jesus' arm to lean on,

Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely

For I love you dearly still:

Try to look beyond earth's shadows

Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand;

Do it now, while life remaineth--

You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed.

He will gently call you Home;

Oh the rapture of that meeting,

Oh, the joy to see you come.

Plese forgive us for not being there for you. My heart and spirit will be there with you all.

Take care and we love you all.

Love Always, Glenn and Kathy, Aunt Rena, Cliff, Judy, Courtney, and Tyler

My heartfelt sympathy is sent to all the Zost family.Vivian was a rare & precious gift to all her friends & family at SBC...always willing to help... giving herself & her time...she never turned her back on anyone...Vivian always had a joke to tell,a hug to spare & a smile in her heart...She supported SBC Pioneers,especially the annual Toy & Doll show...graced all company functions with her talents & love of Victorian craft work.May it be a comfort to you at this sad time, to know how grateful her friends & family at SBC are, to have had her in our lives...She made footprints in all our hearts...never to be forgotten.

David and family...just a quick note to say after I left this site earlier I went to the Upper Room site and the devotional they had for today may give you all comfort. Isn't it amazing how He knows when we need Him and sends us to special places and people who can help us even when we are hurting and maybe even angry with Him? He knows we are just human and He knows our needs better than we ever can. And even more wonderful, He loves us despite our feelings and/or actions. Love you, Doris and Joe

David, Stephanie, Stephen and Stacy and other family members:

Joe and I and our children and grandchildren are so very saddened to hear of your great loss. I know there are no words to lessen your sorrow, but please know that we are all here for you. You are in our prayers and if ever you need to talk, please, please call us. We love you and we will miss Vivian very much as well...I know we didn't get to visit much but we still loved her and we also love you all, too. Just take comfort in knowing that she will never have to do any more suffering and that she will be waiting for you all and one day, we will all be together...one day, the circle will be complete again. Again, please know that we love you all and we wish we could be there for her service....but we will be there in spirit and as we did when Joe's dad passed, we will pause several minutes at the time of her service. WE LOVE YOU ALL....AND PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO CALL IF YOU NEED TO TALK. Love, Joe, Doris, Lisa, Nancy, David, Joannah, Ragan, J.C., Cindy, Curtis, Phillip, and Zach.

PS--Aunt Rose has our phone number if you need to talk....please, please don't hesitate to call if you need us. In a little while, we will call to check on you, okay? Love you.
