What an honor and privilege to be blessed by the presence of Deacon Wallace and Deaconess Nelwyn Henderson. Such genuinely good people. We loved Deacon Henderson's sense of style. It was a joy to witness their example of what it means to love Christ; their love and devotion to each other and their family; their relentless commitment to serving others, and their marvelous sense of humor. Their legacy at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church will continue to live on through their children and their grandchildren. Praise God for the gift of Deacon Wallace Henderson.

Kim & Family: I was proud to have known Wallace for the last 27 years. I was assigned to work under Wallace as a field examiner trainee for the Texas Department of Insurance. Wallace was the first African American financial field examiner for the Texas Department of Insurance. Plainly speaking, he was the Jackie Robinson of this agency. I will forever remember his words of encouragement and sense of humor. May God grant his family strength during this period of transition.
