We were neighbors of Walter and Brenda on Amherst Street during the late sixties and early seventies. We were parents of young children and had great times together along with the Hansens across the street. Such memories with Walter and his family remain dear to us.

Dr. Isle was my freshman advisor at Rice. Calm, unfailingly polite, totally professional in his dealings with students, he was respected and beloved by all. I always enjoyed talking with him, and I will remember his many kindnesses and contributions to the Rice community. My condolences to his family.
