Wayne Dearman

Wayne Dearman, 89, of Oak Island entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior November 29, 2013 at his home with his family gathered at his side. He was born July 28, 1924 in Paris, TX to Guy and Minnie Tippit Dearman. Wayne enlisted in the Army Air Force in April of 1943 and served proudly, he was honorably discharged in February of 1946. While serving in the Army Air Force he was an airplane and engine Mechanic. He served in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. After being discharged from military service Wayne went to work for Hughes Tool and worked there for 43 years. He was of the Baptist Faith loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Thru the years, Wayne and Dolores took in many children and provided them a place to live while completing their education. Wayne was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the "Recipe for Recovery Wayne Dearman Scholarship Fund", P.O. Box 2348, Anahuac, TX, 77514. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Dearman, his parents and 2 sisters Margie and Ted.
He is survived his sister, Jean Dearman; 2 sons and daughters in law Randy and Carol Dearman and Rusty and Lisa Dearman; Daughter Vickie Dearman, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and his longtime companion Buck, his black lab.
The family will receive fiends Monday evening at Crespo and Jirrels Funeral Home, Baytown from 6- 8PM. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 1PM at Crespo and Jirrels with Pastor Mark Pagles officiating. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Cemetery in Houston.
