Mr. Ballard was a very dear friend to Rex and me. I will always remember the many wonderful times that we shared with him on the trailrides. He was a man that Rex admired and respected. He and Rex can now rest peacefully with the LORD and continue their many jokes in heaven. Mrs. Jean be strong in the LORD, trust him because he will bring you peace. GOD bless you always. Love, Yvonne D. Mills of Crowley,LA.

Mr.Ballard was a very special person and indeed will be missed by many.I have considered him a friend for the last twelve years.I admired him for his many talents, there are very few of his kind.If you spent any time with him you were sure to learn something, from cooking stew to loading a vehicle with a comalong onto low-boy by himself. In life you have people, folk and characters and Mr.Ballard was a true character.I will miss you dear friend.PB

There's a hundred years of history
and a hundred before that
All gathered in the thinkin'
Goin' on beneath this hat.
All the fever and the fight
Are just a small down payment
On the ride he makes tonight.
It's guts and love and glory,
He loved us all the same.
His legacy is WagonBoss
And Cowboy Ballard is his name.
