I can still hear her voice, her cheerful laugh, her "Bebita linda!" I can still feel her hugs and besitos. I can still taste her arroz that she always brought to my Mami. I can still see her pain when Jaime left. I can still see her joy when surrounded by her children. I can still hear her heart break when Tío Daniel passed. But most of all, I can still see her alive in each of my cousins. Daniel, Maricela, Sergio, Diana. And her grandchildren. And her great grandchildren. Because she nurtured every seed. Tended them. Saw them bloom. And then she rested, knowing she did her best. And she did. I am so honored to be her sobrina. I am so blessed with my cousins. I am so proud to be a Dávila. I love you, mi Tía linda.

We extend our condolences and prayers to the Dávila, Cavazos, Salinas, Martínez, Pruneda and Huerta families. Our fondest memories of Mrs Zulema Dávila occurred through out the many years at Blessed Sacrament Church, such as Sunday Mass, Guadalupanas Breakfast, Lotería, Holy Days celebrations, parish bazaars, fund raisers and many more. My wife Pearl on her lunch hour had many happy surprise encounters with both Mr & Mrs Dávila and Mr & Mrs Caballero at the downtown Foley´s great Red Apple Day sales. With great anticipation they shared the excitement of finding the best bargain of the day. Coupons in hand Zulema´s eyes would light up in finding her prize. It was great fun!!! We will miss her sparkling eyes and beautiful smile but we know she is with her beloved husband Daniel in Heaven. Señora Zulema Dávila era un gran dama y que en paz descanse.
