Anna Spahn Obituary
Anna M. (Huber) Spahn, age 96, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 1720 Platt Street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, August 9, 2011 at Shady Lane.
She was born on September 30, 1914 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Anton and Barbara (Pfeifer) Huber. On August 3, 1935 she married Arthur E.G. Spahn at St. Gerards Catholic Church, Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1996. Anna and her husband were the owners of Spahn's Bakery for 40 years.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Barbara Weekes, Manitowoc, Nola (Daniel) Warren, Waukesha; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; a special foster granddaughter; and a sister: Theresa Helm, Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by her parents: Anton and Barbara Huber; her husband: Arthur Spahn; a brother: Anton Huber Jr.; and a son-in-law: Eldon Weekes.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Pastor Robert Kujawski. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Anna will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2011, until 10:45 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home and All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Barbara and Nola. Please except my deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother Ann. Your mother & father were my god parents and great friends with my parents and grandparents. I remember, as a child, how on every birthday and christmas your mom would always send me a card. She was a very kind and careing person and i'm sure she will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Barb and families....
Have comfort in knowing your mother is always as close as a loving memory....
I have many great memories of Anne and her kindness! We had many great bowling times together and enjoyed all the 'pastries' she shared with "Cty C"
