Doris Loraine Spahn, age 90, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, December 18,2025 at Heritage Spring long term care facility in West Chester, Ohio. She was born January 25,1935, in Milledgeville, Illinois, a daughter of Merle and Francis Rahn.

Doris grew up in Freeport Illinois and was a graduate of Freeport High School. After graduation she went to work for Microswitch electronic components and married William "Bill" Spahn. The family moved to Vincennes, Indiana where she raised her daughter Bonnie and son Mitch. She worked as a graphic artist for a local newspaper, a medical receptionist, and eventually a surgical technician after earning an associate degree from Vincennes University later in life. She then moved to Columbus Ohio to be near her son and his family and worked as a property management leasing agent. She retired in London Ohio where she became an active member at London First United Methodist Church and a dedicated volunteer at Madison Health Hospital.

Doris was an artist at heart and enjoyed painting and attending art classes in her leisure time and she loved and spoiled her pet dogs over the years.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents Merle and Francis, one brother, Merle "Jack" Rahn, and two sisters, Margery Rahn and Shirley Mammoser.

She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Stremming (husband Douglas Stremming) of West Chester, Ohio, son Mitchell Spahn (wife Sheryl Spahn) of Huntersville, North Carolina, four grandsons Tyler Stremming, Tucker Stremming, Samuel Spahn, and Jack Spahn, and two great-grandchildren Adeline Stremming and Maxwell Stremming.

The family would like to thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. A private Memorial service will take place in Freeport, Illinois.
