Barbara Augustine Obituary

Barbara Augustine

Manitowoc - Barbara Augustine, age 64, entered her heavenly home on March 2, 2018. She was born in Manitowoc on August 17, 1953 to the late Vernon and Shirley Robley. She married Alexander Augustine on October 10, 1981 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Barb spent many years raising her family and caring for others. Her beautiful smile lit up the room. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, reading, and making deviled eggs. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her grandchildren. She loved reading to them, playing board games, giving snuggles, and taking them to Culver's.

Barb was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her husband Alex, her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Paul Mleziva, her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sarah Augustine, her six grandchildren: Xander and Charlotte Mleziva, Aiden, Ethan, Emily, and Isaiah Augustine; her brother Ron Robley (Petie), her sisters, Patricia McCarville (Dave), Nancy Bertsche (Steve), Karen Dietrich (Paul), Cheryl Nessmann (Mark), Lynn Wisniewski (Joe), her sisters-in-law, Sue Lau (Kurt), Mary Hassemer (Mark) and numerous loved family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 9. Visitations will be held on Thursday, March 8 from 4-7 PM and Friday, March 9th from 9:30-11 AM. Both the funeral and the visitations will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Holy Family Hospice and Shady Lane Nursing Care Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Bethany Lutheran School.

To the family of Barb,

I am so sorry for your loss! I was a classmate of Barb's and also worked with her for many years. I just recently spoke with her when she attended my church, but wasn't aware she was ill. This comes as a complete shock to me. Barb was a beautiful person and soul. She will be missed by all who knew her and were fortunate enough to have them in their life. My prayers and thoughts are with all of her loved ones.

The sincerest sympathies to you and your family. Barb and I met for the first time last Sept, when we all went to Myrtle Beach and by the end of the week, we were having good conversations. I am happy to say meeting her was an important part to that vacation. I am so sorry for your loss of her company.
