Daniel Cole Obituary

Cole, Daniel E.

Daniel E. Cole, age 66, of Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, December 13, 2012, at Aurora BayCare, Green Bay.

Dan was born January 28, 1946, in Cook County, IL, son of the late Carl and Lillian (Heitman) Cole. On September 28, 1968, he married the former Catherine Schiavone in Chicago Ridge, IL. Dan was employed as an Electrical Engineer with WPS retiring in May of 2001. He enjoyed traveling, the cabin, family and his friends. He was a member of ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services) and a volunteer at TREP. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Cole, Two Rivers; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Dave and Karen Cole, Manitowoc; Darren Cole, Appleton; two grandsons of "Grampy": Nathan and Ryan; one sister and brother-in-law: Connie and Colin Silvester, Lake Forest, IL; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Rosanna and Roger Schneider, New Lenox, IL; one niece: Karrie (Robert) Kirk, DeKalb, IL; and best friends: Wally and Maureen Tralewski, Niles, IL.

A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers from 9:30 until 10:15 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan's name may be made to TREP (Two Rivers Ecumenical Pantry), 1902 22nd Street, Two Rivers, WI 54241.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Dear Cole Family! I was saddened to learn of Dan's passing. Dan & I worked together at PS&E and Fluor in Chicago. Dan was a great man and I enjoyed working with him very much!

Cathie,
Your call came as a complete shock to me. As you will remember, Dan and I were best friends throughout our 4 years at DDECHS.I was happy to find you two again as neighbors in Downers Grove.Dan has always been and will continue to be in my thoughts. We had so much in common.Please know that all the Cole's will be in my prayers. I will share this sad news with some of the other guys that I still am in contact with. God Bless. Ron Twine
