Koch, Doris M.

Doris Marie Koch, age 84, of 2508 13th Street Two Rivers, died early Saturday morning, June 6, 2015 at her home in the company of her family.

Doris was born November 23, 1930 in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Benedict and Gladys (Panure) Coenen. She attended Two Rivers schools, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1949. She was then employed at the Metal Ware Corporation where she met her husband, Donald J. Koch. They were married at St. Luke's Catholic Church on September 4, 1954.

Doris was a lifetime member of St. Marks/St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers, where she was a member of the Altar Society. She enjoyed gardening, camping, cards/cribbage, baking and doing crafts for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed being a crossing guard for many years at Koenig School.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Donald Koch; her children, Tom Koch and Cathy Groelle of Manitowoc, Karen Koch of Two Rivers, Teresa Koch of Manitowoc, Dan and Julie Koch of Clarks Mills, Susanne Koch of Manitowoc, Kevin and Beth Koch of Valders, Kristeen and Todd Schrieber of Appleton, Mark Koch of Rockton, IL, Marian and Kris Kowalski of Eau Claire and Michelle and David Lind of Eau Claire. Doris also has 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She is further survived by her sisters, Judi Bodwin, of Two Rivers, Sandra (Keith Libal) Coenen, Sarasota, FL; her brother, Dale Coenen of Mishicot; sisters-in-law: Elaine Coenen and Donna Coenen, both of Two Rivers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Helen Koch, Mishicot, Harry Meihsner, Manitowoc and Norris Gilbert, Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Koch-Sadro; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward and Clara (Haws) Koch; one sister, Catherine Coenen; her brothers Wesley (Winnie) Coenen, Emmett (Ruth) Coenen, Kenneth (Jean) Coenen, Francis (Ruth) Coenen and Raymond Coenen; her sisters-in-law: Gail Coenen, Carol Meihsner and Joan Gilbert; and brothers-in-law, Richard Hallada, William Bodwin and Glenn Koch.

Funeral services for Doris will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau, with burial to take place in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Wednesday morning from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation.

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Koch family with funeral arrangements.

The Koch family wishes to thank Fr. Tom, Fr. Maurice, and Southern Care Hospice for their care and support.
