Risch, Robert A.

Robert A. Risch, age 73, of 1147 S. 39th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday, January 22, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on June 2, 1942 in Manitowoc, son of the late Robert and Amelia (Novy) Risch Sr. Robert was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1960. On July 13, 1963 he married the former Judy Weideman in Manitowoc. Robert was employed with Vinton Construction Company for 30 years as an operating engineer, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Local 139 Operating Engineers Union.

Survivors include his wife: Judy Risch, Manitowoc; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Alan Risch and his special friend: Terry Phipps, Manitowoc, Steven and Pascale Risch, Escondido, CA, Brian and Kristin Risch, Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Dylan and Mariah Risch, Brady (Anna) Risch, Benjamin Risch & special friend: Hannah Pitroski and her son Hunter, Bryce Risch; one great granddaughter: Lacey Risch; one brother: Ken Risch, Utah; one sister: Connie Heyduk, Manitowoc; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Glenn Helgerson, Mary (Brian) Seiler, Jim Helgerson and Tom (Leanne) Helgerson, all of Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by a brother: Terry Risch; a sister: Kathy Heyduk and a brother-in-law: Ted Helgerson.

Cremation has occurred and a Celebration of Life will be held at All-Care Reception Center (across the street from The Pfeffer Funeral Home) where the family will greet relatives and friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016.
