Roger E. Janke

Reedsville - Roger Earl Janke, age 69, of Reedsville, passed away at home on Monday, June 28, 2021 doing what he loved and working outside.

Roger was born on June 5, 1952 in Green Bay, son of the late Earl and Deloris (Schroeder) Janke. He was a graduate of Reedsville High School, class of 1970. On September 7, 1974 he married Jennifer Herzog at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. Roger was employed over the years at the Ariens Company in Brillion, The Equity in Reedsville, and the Town of Maple Grove Recycling Center. He spent many years as a member of the Reedsville Sportsmen's Club. Roger was an avid deer hunter his entire life. He was also a lifelong Packer fan. In his free time, he enjoyed building, carpentry, and tending to his rabbits and chickens. His favorite mode of transportation was his golf cart. He enjoyed talking and joking with his friends old and new where ever he went.

Roger is survived by his wife, Jennifer "Jenny" of Reedsville; their children and spouses: Lisa (Chris) Shroat of Kaukauna and Ryan (Tabitha) Janke, Brillion; grandchildren: Gunner Shroat and Lincoln and Ellauise Janke; brother and sister-in-law: Gary and Lucy Janke of Brillion; sister and brother-in-law: Barb (Jeff) Herzog of Reedsville; and other in-laws: Judy and Mel Mangin of Cato; his uncle, Ron Schroeder, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Deloris, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Myron and Vivian Herzog; and other relatives.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home, 215 S. Main St. in Brillion. Officiating will be the Rev. Darin Aden. A luncheon will follow the service. Private family burial will be in St. John St. James Lutheran Cemetery on Highway W.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Brillion from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
