Sue Nowak Obituary

Nowak, Sue M.

Sue M. Nowak, age 68 a Two Rivers resident, entered into eternal life on Friday, February 14, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. She has now joined her true Valentine, Tom Nowak, who preceded her in death on August 20, 2008. She was a mom to her two sons and a second mom to many more. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. There was always a spot at the kitchen table for a cup of coffee and some sound advice! She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren attending their many extra curricular activities. The event of an auction or estate sale is something Sue enjoyed as a hobby. With many great friends, she began organizing estate sales to help others. She loved very much living by Lake Michigan, and the presence of a lighthouse. Sue was born on March 23, 1945 in Two Rivers, the daughter of the late Harold and Eva Gauthier Hoffman. She was a 1963 graduate of the Mishicot High School. She married Tom Nowak, July 29, 1969 in Waukegan, IL. Throughout her life while raising her family, she had many factory jobs in the area. In 1991 Sue received her CNA license, and started doing Homecare, giving assistance to many people up until the time of her death.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and Kari Nowak, of Mishicot, Tom and Kelli Nowak, of Two RIvers, Three grandchildren: Katreena (Steven) Powell, Sarah, and Luke, two brothers and sisters-in-law: Roy and Betty Hoffman, of Branch, Chuck and Karen Hoffman, of Mishicot, two sisters and brothers-in-law: Kay and Ralph Nooker, of Mishicot, LouAnn Hoffman and her husband: Martin Quam, of MN, a sister-in-law: Shirley Kress, of Milwaukee, her mother-in-law: Evelyn Nowak of Milwaukee, a special friend: Diane Seidl, of Manitowoc, four nieces and three nephews, with a special thank you to her niece, Kim Hoffman who is an RN at St. Luke's Hospital, who was very helpful to our family during her illness, along with the loving help of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 So. State St., in Mishicot with the Reverend Todd Musial officiating, with burial to follow in the Holy Cross Parish Cemetery in Mishicot. Relatives and friends may call after 12:00 Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home, until the time of service at 3:00PM

Sue's family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff of the tenth floor of St. Luke's Hospital, and the seventh floor CVICU for the great care given to Sue during her illness. Sue's request is for you to pass on a smile every day to someone for her. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

How different my life life will be with out my "Partner in Crime" as we referred to our selves. We had 46 years of frindship and so much fun and laughter--remember when our men threw us in the bay at Little Sturgeon! I will remember all the crazy things we did, the over niters preparing for another estate sale. Sue, you struggled a long time with those lungs. No more pain, love and miss you.
