Thomas J. Haese, age 66, of 18199 Horse Rd., Mishicot, died unexpectedly, surrounded by his family, on Monday afternoon, September 28, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.

Tom was born on March 7, 1949, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Franklin and Lovila (Kempen) Haese. He attended Mishicot Public Schools, graduating from Mishicot High School with the Class of 1967. Tom served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 until 1972. On November 12, 1977, he married Sandra Samz at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. In his early years, Tom started working as a semi-truck driver with Richter Vinegar, Brillion Iron Works and Kimberly Clark. Tom and Sandy then owned and operated Green Acres Lawn & Garden Center with his brother, Dick, for many years. During those years, Tom enjoyed the many relationships he had with the customers he helped with landscaping and gardening projects. He was most recently employed as a truck driver with Wisconsin Nationwide Transportation. He was involved with the Mishicot Volunteer Fire Dept. and Ambulance for over forty years. Tom enjoyed his many hunting adventures with his buddies to many different locations.

Survivors include his wife: Sandy Haese, Mishicot; three sons and daughters-in-law: Bob and Carolyn Haese, Combined Locks, Andy and Jennifer Haese, Oshkosh and Kevin and Michelle Haese, Manitowoc; and three grandchildren: Collin and Kyle Haese and Aiden Haese. He is further survived by a brother and three sisters-in-law: Bill and Casey Haese, Green Bay, Kari Kortens, Weyauwega, and Gwen Haese, Mishicot; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Barb and Dick Eis, Kaukauna, Peggy and Bob Walkner, Two Rivers and Pat Theyerl, Green Bay; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bernard and Shirley Samz, Mishicot; his brother and sister-in-laws: Julie (Mike) Ryan, Bob (Karen) Samz, Ellie (Rick) Meyer, Bernie (Debbie) Samz and Dan Samz and Verla Franz; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: Paul Haese and Dick Haese and a brother-in-law: Dennis Theyerl.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot. Military Honors will be accorded by members of V.F.W. Post #7753 of Mishicot.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church on Friday evening, October 2, 2015, from 4 until 8 p.m. A prayer service, led by Rev. Tom Reynebeau, will be held at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning at the church from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Andy,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father, especially at such a young age. Now the opportunities lie ahead of you to keep your father's memories alive for generations to come.

I would guess your father and mother had a lot to do with your character today. With that being said, I am thankful to them for your commitment to help fellow UPSers be successful in their jobs and their interactions with customers, as you have done for me. I thank you and I thank your parents.

With my deepest condolences to you, your mother, and your family.
Your friend and fellow UPSer.

I only met Tom once but in that encounter I could tell he had a sense of humor, he was a man of conviction who knew how he wanted to live his life and he seemed accepting of his prognosis from day one! He seemed content with the life he had lived! May the love of God, family, and friends embrace all of you. Love you Sandy and Ellie!
