William Lane Obituary
William F. Lane, age 71, of 1420 Mahogany Run, Two Rivers, died early Thursday morning, October 1, 2015 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc with his loving family at his side.
Bill was born on December 28, 1943 in Green Bay, son of the late Leslie and Dorothy (Roskams) Lane. He graduated with the class of 1962 from Green Bay Premontre High School and later attended St. Norbert's College and University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. Bill served in the National Guard. On February 25, 1967 Bill was married to the former Janice P. Schroeder at St. Patrick's in Green Bay. Bill and his wife Janice owned and operated the Fairview Golf Course, Two Rivers. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Kiwanis Club and Elks Club. Bill loved golfing, Nascar, boating, water skiing, snow skiing and the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his wife: Janice Lane, Two Rivers; two daughters: Lisa (David) Knutson, Suamico; Jennifer (Jerry) Donahoe, Annapolis, MD; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Carole (Jerome) Reich, Green Bay; Ellen Heyroth, Two Rivers; Mary "Lisa" (John) Minahan, Madison; two brothers and two sisters-in-law: Leslie (Cindy) Lane, Green Bay; Hudson (Amy) Lane, Suamico; six grandchildren: Elisabeth Knutson; Robert Knutson; Margaret Knutson; Will Donahoe; Lane Donahoe; Carys Donahoe, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leslie and Dorothy Lane; one brother-in-law: Allen Heyroth; and his step-father: Harold Mummey.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 1122 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.jensreinboldandpfeffer.com
