Libby Stiger Obituary

Libby Leigh Stiger, 57

It is with great sadness that we announce that Libby Leigh Stiger, 57, of Kalispell, Montana, passed away on August 19, 2025 with her family and friends by her side. She was born on September 20, 1967, in Santa Barbara, California, to Dennis and Linda Stiger.

Libby grew up with a love for family and animals, which remained central throughout her life. She was married in Arizona to Robert Clevenstine, with whom she shared her greatest joy, her son Robert "Rob" Clevenstine. When the family moved to Kalispell, Montana, they were drawn by its beauty and wide open spaces, which quickly became the place Libby called home.

It was in Montana that Libby met the love of her life, Byron Kiser. The two were married on August 1, 2001, and shared deep happiness together until Byron's tragic passing on March 6, 2005. Though her heart was broken, Libby carried his memory with her always.

Over the years, Libby enjoyed her time as a house painter around the valley. Her kindness, friendly spirit, and laughter left an impression wherever she went. During the last decade, Libby devoted her time to caring for her mother while also battling heart disease. Even during her own struggles, she continued to give herself to her family and friends.

Libby is survived by her mother, Linda Stiger; brother Todd (Margaret) Stiger, her sister Madonna Stiger; her son Robert (Erin) Clevenstine; and her beloved grandchildren, Autumn (Levi) Carter and Thomas Clevenstine. She is also remembered fondly by her nieces and nephews, Candace Mason, Kyla (Cory) Niva, James Chamberlain, and Cameron Chamberlain, whom she loved and adored.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Stiger; her nephew Kazz Stiger; her former husband, Robert Clevenstine; and the love of her life, Byron Kiser.

Libby's family and friends will remember her for her compassion, sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her absence leaves a deep void, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodland Park Memorial in Kalispell. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a local animal shelter in her honor, reflecting her lifelong love of pets.
