Andrew Gifford Obituary

New Plymouth - Andrew "Andy" Gifford passed away August 1, 2025 at the age of 84 with his wife by his side.

Andy lived a life of adventure. He was able to combine his love of the outdoors into a career working as a park ranger in numerous national parks and as a special agent for National Marine Fisheries, Forest Service and BLM.

All that knew Andy knew how kind and generous he was. He would do anything to help out a friend, neighbor, family member or stranger.

Andy cherished time with his children and grandchildren, always ready with a warm hug and always interested in whatever they had going on in their lives . He will be remembered for his unwavering support, his infectious laugh and his amazing smile.

Andy will be deeply missed by his wife of 57 years, Joy Gifford, his daughter's Andi and Debby, son in law Will, his brother Bruce, sister in law Margie as well as his grandchildren Hailey, Ashley, Ramsay, Jared, Jared's wife Aubrey and his great grand daughter Evelyn.

A private scattering of ashes will be held by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at City Park in Emmett, ID on 9/20/25
