Barbara Marie Bennett-Watts died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at her home in Caldwell, Idaho.
Barbara was born on March 31, 1952 in Nyssa, Oregon to William (Bill) and Gloria Bennett. They were living in Homedale, Idaho at the time. Barb moved to Caldwell with her parents and went to Midway School. In 1964 she moved with her parents to their homestead northeast of Middleton. Barbara attended Middleton High School graduating in 1970. Barbara attended Hollywood Beauty College in Caldwell. After completing her course, she went to work for Davy's Beauty Inn. She also worked for Helen's in Nampa.
Barb went to work for Vassar Farms in 1979, driving trucks in the fields for six years. Also running team with Cindy part of the time. Those girls had so much fun! You never knew what they were going to do! Barb married David Watts in 1981. She and David drove truck long-haul for years. Barb and her brother Lynn Bennett bought a D-9 Caterpillar and deep plow, which she operated until she couldn't anymore. She loved working outdoors.
Barb was on her own in 2005 and loving it. Barb loved family gatherings the most. Family meant everything to her. Especially her son Anthony (Billy) Foreman and Maria her dear Daughter-In-Law. She also adored her Grandbabies, Melissa, AJ and Kevin. Her heart swelled with pride at the thought of them.
Barbara was a wonderful mother to Billy and Maria, the best "Grammy" one could ask for, and a strong, caring, generous, loyal and compassionate friend. She is loved by many and will be missed. She will forever be a part of us and will live on in our hearts.
Barb had many hobbies. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was a very talented artist. She painted and had various hobbies which included sewing, arts and crafts of all sorts. Her family will forever treasure all these pieces of artwork.
Barb was preceded in death by her dad W. H. (Bill) Bennett, several aunts, uncles and a niece.
She is survived by her mother Gloria Fogliatti Bennett, her son and daughter-in-law Billy and Maria Foreman, grandchildren Melissa, AJ and Kevin Foreman, brother and sister-in-law John and Patty Bennett, brother and sister-in-law Lynn and Dianne Bennett, Uncle Clifford and Aunt Scotty Bennett in Holyoke, CO and Aunt Flo Fogliatti in Whittier, CA, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
At Barb's request, there will be no services. Barb's family invites you to come and share your favorite memories at a gathering of family and friends in celebration of her life on June 28, 2013 from 7-9 pm at the home of Lynn and Dianne Bennett, 9495 Highway 44, Middleton, ID.
