Brian P. Fox

1960 - 2023

Boise - Brian Paul Fox went to God on Friday, November 3, 2023. He was born December 21, 1960, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Nolan and Gloria Fox.

He went to Lincoln Elementary in Twin Falls until the family moved to Boise in 1969. There, he made many friends while attending Ustick School, Lowell Scott Middle School, and he graduated from Meridian High School in 1979. He began working at The Van Factory in Garden City out of high school customizing vans. This started his love of cars. He later worked in the family business, Walker and Fox Masonry, Inc a business that his father started in 1969. He wasn't afraid of hard work, and after acquiring the business in 2013, he successfully operated it for over 10 years in the Boise valley. He made many friends with the colleagues he crossed paths within the industry.

He married Suzanne Hawbaker in 2003 and to this union ChloeAnne Gloria was born. He and Suzi later divorced. Chloe was the highlight of his life. She gave him joy beyond measure.

From an early age, he was interested in fast motorcycles and Chevy hot rods. One of his prized possessions was his 1967 Chevy Nova. If he was coming to your house for dinner, you'd know when he was coming as you could hear it blocks away! The faster the better was his motto. Bruce always teased him that the Nova would go faster if it had a Blue Oval on it!

In the early days he was usually late for family gatherings, so mom would start giving him a 30-minute earlier start time ahead of everyone else. However, he eventually caught onto this trick when he saw others of the family straggle in after him, so after a while when mom gave him the start time, he started asking, "what time is everyone else showing up?"

He loved camping, hunting, and fishing. While on family camping trips, riding dirt bikes on challenging trails (sometimes even blazing his own trails) with Bruce and cousins was one of his passions. He loved dirt bike riding in the Willow Creek and Iron Mountain area. The mountains were his relaxation station. Camping trips often included Cornish hens cooked over the campfire on one of his homemade spits. He enjoyed chasing elk every fall and was successful at it. Two of his elk made the Boone and Crocket Club. He looked forward to annual hunting trips with family to the Council/Bear area.

NASCAR was another one of his passions. He participated in annual RV road trips with family and friends to Las Vegas to watch the race including this past March. Sharing meals, spending time with his daughter at various places of interest around Las Vegas, and chatting up racing stories with family and friends during the race weekend in the RV park were relaxing and enjoyable. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson, and he and Bruce enjoyed many rides together.

He was a member of the Church of Christ and most recently attended the Linder Road Church of Christ.

He is survived by his daughter, Chloe and step-son Beck, his parents Nolan and Gloria Fox, his sister Cheryl Hoff (Larry), sister Tina Coleman (Jerry) and brother Bruce Fox. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews, and his faithful companion, Kalibur.

Services will be Saturday, November 11th at 11:00 am at the Linder Road Church of Christ, 1555 N Linder Road in Meridian.
