I was saddened to hear that Dr Kammer had passed. He was my ear doctor for years. He was a cheerful person and he was very thorough with his work and my ears loved him. He was an asset to this planet.

No words can describe the kindness, or the talent of this doctor. Everyone had a special place in his heart. When my mother was too ill to get out of my car, he came out to the car to see her. He was a GREAT role model for the profession of medical doctor and for kindness itself.

Dr Kammer, was our family's provider for all ear, nose and throat issues. Even though we only knew him as our great doctor and not personally, we will always remember him as a kind, generous man and an excellent surgeon. May you RIP doc and thank you for everything you've done to help your fellow humans.

Dr. Kammer took care of my husband for a few months when he had a terrible infection in his sinus area and was so caring to him. Sad to lose the good doctor and human being. Ann Hays

There are a lot of great memories that I can share about my good friend Dr. Kammer.
I stared my oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Caldwell in 2005. Knowing I should get to know the local Ear Nose and Throat doctors I reached out to both Dr. Snow and Dr. Kammer. Both were kind, supportive, and welcoming.
Dr. Kammer reached out to me within a short period of time and invited me to attend a surgery and said that "an oral surgeon would of great help with removal of a sublingual salivary gland". He did not need my help but he had a great way of making people feel important.
I did attend the case and observed the master at work.
He worked with a finesse that I'd never witnessed. He was efficient with his movements, direct with his approach and managed to avoid the nerves and vital structures with precision. He was kind to the nurses and never said or did anything that was without the highest level of respect to those in the room. I learned everything I needed to know about Dr. Kammer that day.
On this day and all those to follow, I was grateful to call this man my mentor.
After our first surgery together he gave me a bouquet of flowers for my wife (wasn't married) and later, sent me a check for 800 dollars to compensate me for my time.
I sent the check back to him of course. I kept the flowers.
Dr. Kammer and I became great friends. We saw patients together. He helped me with a multitude of infections, tumors, and traumatic injuries. He always expressed genuine concern for the patients we were treating and never dismissed any of my questions of inquires. Whenever I called Dr. Kammer he would say " I was just thinking about you!" This was true because Dr. Kammer was always thinking about every one else.
I observed him in the operating room as well as his clinic. He attended my wedding brining me a present that was as large as himself. A wine refrigerator as I a recall.
His staff loved him and stuck with him. This man was a one of a kind.
Nurses at the VA medical center adored Dr. Kammer and asked if i could host his 80th birthday party. Of course I did. Later I was lucky enough to attend his 85th that was hosted by his office staff. They held it at his office during a lunch break. Again, his staff loved him. Also in attendance that day was a man whom was responsible for building and working on Dr. Kammer's many homes and buildings.
Dr. Kammer is someone I will always consider to set the standard of how a doctor should treat his patients, staff, friends, and colleagues. He had a wealth of knowledge and never stopped trying to learn new things. He was masterful in the operating room and well known to make difficult things look easy. He demonstrated a concentration while communicating with people and made you feel that he was present in the moment.
I will miss this man and feel so honored to have had the relationship that I had with him.
Thank you Dr. Kammer.

I first met Dr. Kammer when I was a floor nurse at West Valley Medical Center in 1979. I then had the great honor and blessing to work with him in the operating room for many years after that. He was always caring, innovative, fast, fun, wonderful. So many times I thought, "How is he going to put that kid's ear back together after a dog bite, or how is he going to fix this lady's nose whose horse's head smashed into her?" But he always did. He was a miracle worker in my eyes. He was also a dear friend and my personal ENT doctor. I miss him greatly since he retired and look forward to seeing him again on the other side.

I worked for Dr. Kammer for a few years as his audiologist. He was so kind to me and allowed me to walk across the street to check on my kids in the daycare. My name remained on the placard in the office parking lot for a long time after I left the job there. When I asked him when he was going to take my name down, he responded "I´m waiting til you come back". This shows his caring personality! I still meet patients in my current job that feel the same way as I do. It´s amazing! We are losing a real Nampa gem. My condolences to the family!

Dr. Kammer was a wonderful doctor and very knowledgeable about his craft. He worked hard to solve problems that plague his patients like allergies and what it took to help clear them up. He and I had several visits that involved discussing the Lord Jesus Christ... he will be missed but is now enjoying a healthy happy life in heaven.

I am so sorry to see that Dr Kammer has passed away. He was my doctor for many years, until he retired. He was a very sweet, gentle, kind and caring man who took great care of me. We loved discussing our photography and we both loved our Pentax cameras. He loved his trips to Alaska and thought Seward couldn´t be more beautiful. He will be very missed! My thoughts and prayers are with his family as Heaven welcomes him home.
