David James Armstrong

1967 - 2023

Wilder, Idaho - David James Armstrong was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on March 28, 1967. His parents, Gerry and Andrea Armstrong, raised Dave and his younger brothers John and Matthew Armstrong in Boise. David attended Highlands Elementary, North Jr. High, Boise High School and BSU. He loved and excelled in sports and played Optimist Football, coached by his dad, and varsity middle linebacker at Boise High. He was a lifelong Oakland Raiders fan and Boise Steelheads and San Jose Sharks hockey fan. Dave loved dogs so much and was fortunate to have several canine best friends during his life. Following some travel, he worked for several years for The Regional Telephone Directory, successfully selling yellow page advertising. He started Anytime Bail Bonds, which was very successful and then purchased by The Aladdin Bail Bond Company. Dave moved to northern California to pursue the legal marijuana business in growing and sales and then moved the business to San Jose where it grew substantially. He closed the business in 2016, returning to Idaho with his partner Kathryn Smith and their son, Logan. Dave was happy to be back in Idaho and loved family gatherings and summer water activities. He passed away on December 16, 2023, at his home on the Snake River. He is survived by Kathryn, son Logan, brothers John and Matt and parents, Andrea and Gerry Armstrong and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
