Delbert Higgins Obituary
Del was born on December 21, 1984 in Boise, Idaho. As Del grew up, he enjoyed playing baseball and football and quickly became known for his ability to take anything apart and put it back together. He loved going to the family ranch in Donnelly and enjoyed his time there snowmobiling, boating, ATVing/UTVing, operating equipment, working around the ranch and doing anything related to the outdoors. At the age of eighteen, Del became a proud father. Del was to be a dad three more times and loved his children more than life itself. Del shared his passion for the ranch and mountains with his children and could be seen teaching them how to drive anything with a motor. Del loved food, music and dancing and shared this love with his family and best friend Samantha. Del also loved singing and dancing along with the radio, working on cars and motorcycles, long drives, video games, watching movies and even acquired a fondness for cats. Del will be greatly missed by those who loved him!
Del is survived by his father Rod Higgins, daughters Angela (Austin) Villalobos, Aubrey Harris, Elizabeth Higgins, son Daniel Higgins, best friend Samantha Finch, brother Rich (Helene) Stover, sisters Suzy Buffington, Trina Higgins, Carrie Waters, Cathi Jo Higgins, extended family members Matt, Jessica, Jake and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Del was preceded in death by his mom Chris Higgins, grandparents Ruth and Bert Higgins, Helen and Harvey Keeton, brother-in-law Jim Waters, uncles Ron Keeton, Ray Mullins, Darrel Shindle, Gil Armstrong, nephew Nicholas Stover and cousins Tammy Armstrong, and Megan Alden.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Del's name to the Diabetes Alliance of Idaho.

I come on here a lot to honor my father, he had his ups and downs but still loved my siblings and I very much. It took him a while to find himself as a father since he was so young when he had his first child, but he found his way and proved himself to be a great father towards the end. Not only was he a great dad but a friend as well, I know many of his friends who miss him more and more as time passes. He was there for us so we all take time to share our respects and love for him on his birthday. My family and I started a new tradition of writing a not and burning it to send it up to him. for any family members that might see this we would love for you to join us! I love you so much pops - Elizabeth Higgins/your youngest(favorite) daughter. year2 of you being gone we miss you!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Remember my father not only by his strength but his weakness, know he's in a better place now an is no longer in pain, set in a place to look down at us and see us grow as we succeed in our journey of life. Remember how much he had accomplished. Remember the great family he left on this earth. Del will be greatly miss... I love you dad - Elizabeth Higgins /your youngest daughter.

My father was a great person and i loved him with all my heart he would always hold my hand, take me for fun tracter rides, and share fun memeries with me all of the time i miss him a lot and its sad that hes gone but im happy he no longer has to be in pain
