Douglas Christison Obituary

Yellow Pine - Douglas Everett Christison

Douglas Everett Christison, 70, of Yellow Pine, Idaho, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. He was born June 3, 1955, in Emmett, Idaho, the eldest of four children to Everett and Mary Ann Christison.

Doug grew up in Boise and graduated in 1973 from McCall/Donnelly School District. A true outdoorsman, he spent his life working cattle and horses, guiding hunts, logging, and later retired after 23 years with Motive Power in Boise. He was most at home in the Idaho mountains and cherished his years in Yellow Pine, where he volunteered as a firefighter, mechanic, and community caretaker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett, and several relatives. Surviving are his partner, Lorinne Munn; mother, Mary Ann Cartwright; siblings Dirk (Rhonda), Lisa, and Drew; along with extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 PM, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Yellow Pine Pioneer Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Idaho Hunter Education Program.
