Eddie Ray Baker

1938 - 2025

Nampa - Eddie (Ed) Ray Baker, 87, died peacefully at home on December 14th, 2025. Ed was born October 22, 1938, to Raymond and Grace Baker of Blackfoot, Idaho and moved to Nampa in 1954. While in school, Ed joined the Idaho Army National Guard Reserve until he graduated from Nampa High School in 1958 and enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served until his honorable discharge in 1963. After the Navy, Ed returned to Nampa where he met Juanita (Nita) Henry, and the couple married in 1971. Ed and Nita were blessed with 54 years of marriage, two children, and four grandchildren. Ed was a wonderful, loving father and grandfather, he loved his Lord Jesus, and had a heart for service to others. Ed worked in construction for over 40 years and operated his own painting business until he retired. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fly fishing, camping, and many other hobbies like wood working, motorcycle riding, and traveling.

Ed is survived by his wife Nita, his son Sharadan & Brenna Baker and their daughters Lauryn and Makenna; his daughter Shenoa & Mike Waters and their sons Garrett and Job; and numerous extended family members who will miss him deeply.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service for Ed on Friday, January 16th, at 11am, which will be held at Nampa First Church of the Nazarene, 1421 6th Street South, Nampa, ID 83651.
