Mom you were the love of Dad's life. He never stopped calling out your name when he was in distress or confused. He never stopped loving you. Our family legacy will live on forever.

Jeff and I met in 1957, began dating, fell in love and married in 1959. Since we were both attending BSU (BJC) we spent the first 3 years in college housing ($50 a month for 2 bedroom apt, even with a garage!) , each of us working full-time as well, and I began my teaching career, which lasted for 35 years.
Finally, we were thrilled to buy our first home in Country Club Manor, and it was there that Laura, our firstborn joined us. As Jeff changed jobs and was now working for REA Express, we were required to move to the Oregon coast, then to Aberdeen, WA, then later to Seattle and Federal Way, where we bought our second home. And that is where Sarah Sue joined us, making our family complete.
The 31 years of our marriage were spent with lessons and activities surrounding our girls. After Jeff quit REA in 1973 and then joined my father in Lowery Petroleum Equipment Company in Garden City, we moved back to Boise onto our 5-acres and started building our "forever home" where I still reside today. We started collecting horses and became involved in 4-H. As time passed, horses took a back seat to our becoming ardent fans of middle school and Meridian and Centennial varsity football and basketball games, at which both Laura and Sarah were varsity cheerleaders. The girls went off to colleges, later married and our family began its exponential growth and inclusion.
One good thing about girls leaving home is that since they couldn't bring their horses, so FINALLY I began MY horse life! Trail riding with my friends in the Boise Foothills, along the Boise River, and the desert south of Boise brought me much pleasure. To this day as I look out my bedroom window at the big barn and the pasture beyond, my heart fills with wonderful memories.
Even though our marriage ended after 31 years, Jeff and I have continued to get together as we support milestones with our kids and grandkids. And when Jeff's Missouri relatives still come here every few years, my Horsey Home is the meeting place where all gather, hangout, eat, and swap stories.
