It was an honor to have known Hank. I wish that I had spent more time with him - a true hero and WWII Navy veteran. RIP Hank.

Hank August - what an extraordinary person. A World War II Purple Heart recipient and a cancer survivor. A true friend and lovely person.
I remember so well when Hank came to my husband's funeral in 2020 and stood out in the cold January wind to be there for me and my family.
I will cherish ever day for the rest of my life those many days I sat next to him at the Chuck-A-Rama. His strength and good cheer. His love for his family. My deepest condolences to Tillie and all of Hank's family. ~ Carolyn Jauregui

Hank it was a Privilege and Honor to know you, a fellow military veteran since 2001 when I first met you at Chuck A Rama Restaurant with Tilley. You shared many stories over the lunches we shared about life, the military, your children, grand children and adventures which I will always treasure sir. Thank you for your service in World War-II. YOU are an American hero, Patriot and dear friend and I will miss our mutual military salutes and lunches. May you rest in peace and may we meet again in Heaven with God, family and friends in the future. Condolences to your entire family. I was blessed to have crossed your path in life I salute you for all your accomplishments in your distinguished life in Earth. May GOD bless you Hank, Rest in Peace! Respectfully your friend, Major Pete Amaya, U.S. Army Veteran - Meridian Idaho 12 June 2024
