Howard Wilde Obituary

Nampa - Howard lived a life of pure religion as defined in James 1:27 - "Pure religion, undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

Going against the grain was his style and sticking to the basics was his method. Never wanting attention drawn to himself, he lived a life of love and devotion to God through quiet service to family, friends, neighbors, and countless strangers alike.

Howard may be best described in a poem written by his daughter, Marci, in 1986.

The Attribute-

I can see it in my father's face

I can feel it in my father's hands,

In his voice and words, it triumphs.

Through his eyes, it is immediately seen,

By his heart, it's graciously given.

In his mind, it's always been.

Strength -

It's rarely found, and too often it is lost.

But in my dad, it's an indivisible attribute.

His wife, Marcha, and his children: Kirk, Todd, Marci, Mark, Delsi and Shawn honor him best at this time by fulfilling his wishes of not holding a funeral. But Dad did want a gathering of friends and family with good grub and lots of banter. The date is still to be determined. If you would like to be a part of that, please reach out and let us know.

In lieu of flowers, let's all follow Howard's lead and serve someone in need, then come on by the Wilde Residence to take a tire home.

Interesting enough we just talked about Howard a few days ago. He painted our pickup truck when we lived in Nampa over 42 years ago. He was truly a great guy and our lives have been blessed knowing him. Our prayers for comfort and peace for Marcha and family.

The Wilde family was an anchor that we cherished as we settled in Nampa. So many fond memories of a wonderful family led by a kind and generous man. Love to all - the Jerry Jones family.

What a shock! I have known Howard and his family for many years. Such a hard-working, talented man. I am sure that he will be repairing things in Heaven too. I will miss him. I hope your memories of him will help all of your family in the coming months and years.
