James Earl "Tiny" Burns

1953 - 2021

Caldwell - James Earl Burns "Tiny", 68, of Caldwell, peacefully took his final lap in the great race of life on Monday, September 13, 2021. Born on June 4, 1953 to Thomas and Emma "Rusty" Burns, in Caldwell, he was the youngest of four children.

Jim grew up in Caldwell and attended Caldwell High School. Known as the Varsity Jock and class clown, Jim, Steve Towery, Rick Janes and a handful of others got together and formed "The Fatty's Club" during their senior year just so they could get their "club" picture in the year book. Jim was known for his HUGE heart and ENORMOUS sense of humor. He was a father figure to many. Well known as a machinist and performance engine builder, Jim had many victories under his belt. He was loved and respected by all in the car community. Later in life, he enjoyed working for and retired from the City of Caldwell.

Jim is survived by his sons, Creed (Kristy) Burns and Tyler Burns; four amazing grandchildren whom Jim loved completely unconditionally and were his pride and joy: Cade, Kelsey, Addison and Brody. He is also survived by his sister, Victoria Harrold; brother, Tony Burns; former wife, Connie Burns and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Burns; his parents, Thomas and "Rusty" Burns and most recently his brother-in-law, Victor Harrold.

At Jim's request and because it wasn't his style, a funeral service will not be held. Instead, a celebration of life is planned for Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the home of Victoria Harrold, 655 Crest Rd., Caldwell, ID. 83607.
