James Nafsinger Obituary

Caldwell - James Thomas Nafsinger, 42, Caldwell died October 28, 2021

How do you capture the essence of a life ended too soon? How do you choose a picture? Pick the one in the suit he only wore for the photo, or the one with less age or the one that reflects his spirit. Most mention kindness when talking about Jim, but there was more, lots more. Jim had an adventurous spirit. Science was a passion. He viewed the sky with his telescope and explained to everyone around the dinner table ideas about inventions, projects and plans. As a mechanic he helped many with their cars and smiled broadly when talking about his record breaking BMW racing days. His park-like yard featured the Owyhee mountains and hosted many late night fire pit discussion. Jim loved his family and friends, his car and brainless dog. Jim's meaningful life came from being real, humble natured, strong spirited, able to share with others and touching the lives of those around him.

Survived by his parents, Kirk and Janie Nafsinger, brother Nick and wife Dominy Nafsinger, Aunts and Uncles: Mike Nafsinger, Steve Nafsinger, Dave Cotton, Dan Cotton, Karen & Bruce Duim, Ann & Martin Osborn, plus numerous cousins. Finally, a great friend to Jim, his brother in spirit, Anthony Parrish.

Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Marsing Disaster Fund.
