My brother and I were friends of John and his sister since we were young kids. Hanging out with them a lot . We lived in the same neighborhood. John was always a big jokester. John and my brother were always playing practical jokes on each other and always made us laugh. I will never forget you John. Thank you for your service to this county.
RIP John!!

John was one of the strongest men I have met. We were in C co 2-75 in training as PFCs. I was standing loaded with ammo, vest, wpn. John walked up behind me and twisted down grabbed me around waist and flipped me upside down in a 360 and set me back down on my feet as sort of a playful joke. I must have weighed 280lbs with all the gear. He was indestructible. Always dependable. Quiet professional. Great Soldier! Loved by all.

Our death is not an end if we can live on in our children and the younger generation. For they are us, our bodies are only wilted leaves on the tree of life. May he rest in peace and my condolences to your family.
