Joseph A. "Joe" Marez

1934 - 2023

Nampa - Joseph Alehandro Marez first son born to Alex and Mary Marez in Fruita, Colorado, on December 10, 1934. Moved to Nampa at the age of three, worked many jobs, then joined the United States Marine Corps at the age of eight-teen, and was honorably discharged in 1956. Learned office equipment repair and worked Fisher's Office Equipment for 25 years. In 1974 opened his own business Nampa City Auto Sales, operated 30 years and retired in 2004. Married his first love Shirley Hagen in 1956, had two children daughter Sherry and son David. 1985 married second love Hazel Kelley. Preceded in death by Shirley Marez Malua, son David Marez, sister Erma (Pat) Scott, brothers Henry and Johnny Marez. Survived by brother Pete and his wife Elsie Marez, daughter Sherry Barnett-Lundy and son-in law Dayle Lundy, grandson David Barnett and wife Krista Barnett, great-grandchildren Lily and Charlie, many nephews and nieces, and wife Hazel Marez.
