Kimberly Wilson Obituary

Donnelly - Kimberly Dee was born June 26, 1962, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Robert Dee Mitich and Linda Kay Hudson Mitich. At the age of 3 her family moved to Meridian, Idaho. She spent her childhood at Meridian Speedway watching her dad race, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, and spent many hours flying as her dad had his pilot's license.

Kim's dad quit racing in 1972 when the family purchased land in Cascade and built a cabin. Until Kim entered high school, most weekends were spent in the mountains.

Kim was athletic and starting in junior high she participated in track and gymnastics. She lettered in gymnastics her sophomore year in high school. Kim graduated from Meridian High in 1980, a fourth generation MHS graduate.

After high school Kim attended Link's School of Business. She spent the majority of her working career at the Idaho State Dental Association. She loved this job and the people she worked with.

Kim joined the Meridian Optimist Club in 1991 and was still a member at the time of her passing. Kim held all the offices multiple times and also served multiple roles in the Pacific Northwest District.

Kim married Jerry Bowers in 2004. They built a cabin in Donnelly with the help of many family members and friends and spent most weekends there. They enjoyed snowmobiling in the winter and boating in the summer. Jerry passed away unexpectedly in January 2021.

After Jerry's passing, Kim sold their house in Meridian and moved to the cabin. During this process she was reacquainted with Mitch Wilson, a friend from junior high who was living in Cascade. They began dating and married on Mitch's birthday, November 26, 2022. Mitch and Kim spent many days on the lake and on side-by-side outings. They had just bought a house in Lake Havasu and were looking forward to Mitch's retirement to winter in the sunshine and warmth at the time of her passing on February 13, 2025.

Kim was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry; her dad, Bob; and her mom, Linda.

Kim is survived by her husband, Mitch; sister, Glenda (Mark) Nelson and family, Jake and Jarrod (Meghan); stepdad, Jim Perkins; stepmom, Renee Mitich, and their families; stepdaughter, Amber (Dan) Koski and children, Karly and Kruze.

Kim received a bonus family when she married Mitch which included his sons, Darin (Shanel) and their daughters, Kaylee and Lillian, and Jake (Jillian) and their baby boy due in July.

Kim is also survived by her special aunt, Paula (Jim) Gratiot, and their family, who have provided much love and support for Kim over the years. She also held the Mitich, Gerber, and Shull families close to her heart.

Donations in Kim's memory can be made to the Meridian Optimist Club, PO Box 681, Meridian, ID 83680 or Donnelly Fire & EMS, PO Box 1178, Donnelly, ID 83615.
