Mary Maxine (Sherard) Combe left this world on Saturday, June 14, 2014 to be with her heavenly father and savior Jesus Christ. She was welcomed by her loving parents who preceded her in death. She passed away at home surrounded by her family after a short battle with mesothelioma.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Kuna Nazarene Church, 1281 W. Avalon St., Kuna 83634 on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Dry Creek Cemetery, Boise. The family will greet loved ones and friends at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel on Friday evening from 5 - 7 PM. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com.
Mary was born October 9, 1940 in Billings, Montana to Orval and Nell (Vickers) Sherard. She enjoyed her childhood in Gillette, Wyoming and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1959, where she enjoyed choir and played several instruments in the band.
In the fall of 1959, she attended York Christian College in York, Nebraska where she met the love of her life, Floyd J. Combe from Ogden, Utah. They were married February 25, 1961 in Gillette, Wyoming. They soon started a family in Ogden, Utah and eventually settled in Meridian, Idaho with their four children. Mary and Floyd owned and operated Action Cleaning, a successful carpet and upholstery cleaning business for more then 28 years. In 1991 she received her CNA license and started Mary's Happy Feet to assist elderly and diabetic patients with foot care.
She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and baking bread. She will be remembered for her caring joyful spirit, contagious laughter and her hand knit slippers.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 54 years Floyd Combe, Meridian, her 4 children, Ray (& Charlotte Combe, Boise); Jim (& Marlene Combe, Nampa); Darlene (& Bob Robinson, Nampa); Rebekah (& Ron Hope, Boise); 15 grand children, 5 great grandchildren; and her brother Jack Sherard, Gillette, WY.
