Michael Mower Obituary

Caldwell - Michael Scott Mower, born August 24, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on September 30, 2025. He was the beloved son of Elmer (Joe) Clarence Mower and Betty Virginia Morton Mower.

Michael grew up in Menlo Park, California, where he spent his childhood building forts, playing baseball, and exploring with his brothers. After his parents' divorce, he moved with his mother and siblings to Coronado, California. His father later remarried, and Michael was blessed with another brother, James (Jim) Mower.

Before serving in the Vietnam War, Michael married Julie, and together they welcomed two sons, Tommy and Robbie. He proudly joined the U.S. Army, where he worked on aircraft armaments in Vietnam.

Later, he married Theresa and embraced her children, Ron and Beth, as his own. On October 22, 1983, Michael married the love of his life, Gail, in Caldwell, Idaho. Together they built a life full of joy, laughter, pets, travel, and deep love. They especially cherished time in the Smiths Ferry with Loren, and RVing at SISCRA in Donnelly, Idaho with Ken and Ava.

Michael's adventurous spirit drew him to the water. He lived on his boat, the Chi Chi, in Coronado Bay, took memorable trips to Baja with his dear friend Bob, and delighted in every chance to be near the sea.

He was a man of simple joys-Chips Ahoy cookies, sweet tea, gardening, and laughter in life's small moments. In recent years, he faced cancer with remarkable courage and grace.

Michael is survived by his wife, Gail; his brothers, Steve, Patrick, and James; his children, Rob (Denise), Ron, Tom (Janet), Carl, and Destry (Adrian); grandchildren Brooklin, Keona, Brandon, Johnathan, Tommy Jr., Brittany, Ariel, Karl (Carlee), Hunter, Tyler, Hayden (Jake), Jakob, Jayden, and Paige; and great-grandchildren Michael Scott Mower II, Bella, Giovanni, Armani, and Axel. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, and daughter Merry.
