Michael Ploskonka Obituary

Michael Charles Ploskonka
August 13th, 1984 - June 30th, 2014
Michael Charles Ploskonka, Born August 13th, 1984, in Kansas City, MO, passed away on June 30th at his home in Nampa Idaho.
Son of Mike & Lynn Ploskonka, Susan and Monty Black. He is lovingly remembered as a friend to every child he ever met, an avid fisherman and a talented skateboarder.
His tendency to keep things clean and tidy made him a natural favorite at Heaven's Best Carpet Cleaning alongside his dear friends Ryan and Tiffany Christensen and their children who he adored. His charming personality ensured repeat business for the years he was there.
Once his sales abilities were discovered and after years of strong urging from his family to follow his father's footsteps into the retail automobile industry, he joined the ranks of his "Band of Brothers" as he called them, at TEAM Mazda Subaru in Nampa.
Michael soon became devoted to honing his craft, as a salesman. He excelled at this work of finding nearly instant success, due largely to his enthusiastic approach to life and his tremendous work ethic. His customers regularly sent friends and family to work with him, citing his sincerity and genuine concern for his clients' best interests.
If he was not at the car lot welcoming new guests of wading into lake Lowell to catch a large mouth Bass, Michael could be found at any number of skate parks or at Bogus Basin with his nephew Zane Smith, sharing with him years of experience hard eared with bruised eyebrows and scrapped knees.
Services will be held on July 10th, 2014 at 11 am at the Caldwell 12th Ward LDS Chapel at 15782 Farmway Road in Caldwell, Idaho. Viewing will be held at Zeyer Funeral Chapel in Nampa on Wednesday from 6-8 pm. Michael will be laid to rest at the Canyon Hills Cemetery in Caldwell, Idaho.
Michael is survived by his sisters Carli Ploskonka and Kristin Clemons, brother Matt Harris, nephews Zane and Zach Smith, Xander Clemons and his niece, Anslee Clemons.

Dear Mike, this is years later but its the same feelings I had when I lost you... I was only around 7. I dint believe in death at the time or at least that God would cause me the great pain of a death from a person I loved with all my heart. When I heard about it I remember instantly crying just wondering why. You were so young, you never did anything wrong, you were the best, but still I wondered why God chose you to pass. Ive relized now its not God, well it could have been but theres a reason for everything right? God always has his plan... Mike its been years and I still cry almost every day. I dont know if you are there in heaven seeing what Im saying but if you are I miss and love you and Ive started my first year of middle school this year... just last week I was in class and the class smelled just like you and your home. All warm and just good. I about started to cry realizing it was your own scent. It was also finals day and your scent made it a little hard to focus but I relized I was so glad to smell you again. I will always miss you. I have your painting of spongebob with a rope around my name just hanging right next to my bed. You had so many talents! Art, music, skateboarding and many other things. Do you remember on my birthday when you were riding your skateboard to the park with me? It broke in front of all the kids and they all were so shocked and that it was so cool! I was so happy in that moment knowing you were my uncle. You still are, you still live in my heart and I wish so much you were here but I need to understand your not and thats ok. There will be a time we all leave. It could be in a minute, tomorrow, a year from now or just a hundred from now, but no one for sure knows so thats why you need to live in the moment with other people and yourself while you have it... I love you mike- R.I.P

At one of our parties for the boys I think it was a graduation event, I was replacing the rope for the tree swing and Mike said I'll take that rope up there for you Mr. Davis. Well what he hadn't calculated in the equation was the difficulty of shimming down a Russian Olive tree. Poor guy was in an impossible spot at the top of that limb and there was nothing I could do to save him. Besides that I was laughing so hard I couldn't have helped him even if I could have gotten a ladder up there. Finally he gave up letting go, hitting the ground with a thud. Once we got the bleeding stopped we all had a good laugh because Mike never took himself very seriously and as his good nature would have it, he was laughing right along with the rest of us. RIP my friend.

My husband and I are in shock. We just recently bought our first new car from Mike. He was a wonderful, friendly guy, and obviously good at his job. He made our experience memorable. We are so sorry for your loss.
