Ninfa Alcantara Obituary

Parma - Ninfa Alcantara- a quiet and kind soul passed away peacefully at home in Parma of natural causes on July 20, 2025, at the age of 86.

Ninfa was born May 22, 1939, in Edinberg, Texas to Jose Guadalupe Betancourt and Matilda Valdez Betancourt. She traveled with her parents, along with her four brothers and three sisters for agriculture work, where she met her husband Demetrio Alcantara. They married on September 22, 1964. They had four children together, Carmen Alcantara Gilbert, Ernesto Alcantara, Demetrio Alcantara Jr., and Miguel Alcantara. She worked for Rhodes Bakery until her retirement.

Ninfa is survived by daughter Carmen Alcantara Gilbert- Grandchildren Andrew M Falen (Dawn), Maricruz G. Guilbert, Gene Cristian Gilbert. Sons Ernesto Alcantara - Grandchildren Diana I. Alcantara, Xavier D. Alcantara, Andres Alcantara. Son Demetrio Alcantara Jr. (Amanda)- Grandchildren Raquel N. Alcantara, Addriana M. Alcantara, and Demetrio A. Alcantara III. Son Miguel Alcantara (Suna) - Grandchildren Miguel Alcantara Jr., Cera Alcantara, along with 21 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Demetrio Alcantara, her parents Jose Guadalupe and Matilda Valdez Betacourt, Granddaughter Raquel Ninfa Alcantara, Grandson Demetrio Alexander Alcantara III, and brothers & sisters.
