Paul Kesner Obituary

Caldwell - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Gilbert Kesner who peacefully left us on May 14th, 2023. He was a loving brother, husband, devoted father, and a dear friend to many. Paul will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Born on August 19th, 1945, in Seattle, Washington Paul was the middle child and son of Fred and Helen Kesner. Paul was a shining example of dedication and hard work. He built a successful career in trucking logistics where he was highly respected for his expertise and professionalism. His diligence and commitment to the profession garnered him great appreciation throughout his career and retirement. His true fulfillment came from the relationships he cultivated along the way. He loved his ex-wife, Karen Roark with whom he shared 20 years of marriage and continued companionship until her passing in 2021. As a father, Paul instilled in his children a strong work ethic, integrity, and the importance being kind. His legacy lives on through his surviving sisters Mary Esparza and Naomi Roberts, and his sons, Troy and Trevor. Outside of his family, Paul was an active member of the cowboy community. He generously volunteered his time helping friends with cattle ranching activities and projects that would keep him outdoors and out of town. In his leisure time, Paul enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with friends in Riggins, Idaho. As we mourn the loss of Paul, we also celebrate a life well-lived. A service to honor and celebrate Paul and his life is being planned. Close friends and family will be welcomed.

Paul was the kind of friend everyone should be blessed with and should try to be. He helped a lot of people throughout his life, and I never heard him say a bad word about anyone . For a joke I told a bunch of girls at a rodeo he was the man in the Marlboro ads, and they flocked around him flirting. He said ; man this new cologne I have is toxic! Happy Trails Paul...See you on the other side

What a beautifully written tribute! Troy and Trevor, I am so sorry for the loss you must be feeling, but will be celebrating with you his "graduation to heaven." I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with your dad, your mother, and you boys! I have never forgotten when he was taking all three of you, plus Justin and Stephanie, out to ride the calf... and Stephanie was the first one on. Then his "wild horse catching/riding" at the Rodeo. I still remember the horrible bruise on his leg when one of those horses bit him. I´m sure a book could be written with all the wonderful memories so many of us have.
Sending you much love,
Jackie

Dear Naomi and Mary,
So sorry for your loss. I haven´t seen Paul since high school. Our senior year we had study hall together and I enjoyed our visiting. He was always gentle and kind.
Blessings to the family,
